BOASTS AND BRAGS

As the sun sets on beautiful Saskatoon, may we wish the milk truck and its new owner our best.

IT’S TRUE, the milk truck has been sold and we now have a new truck.

It used to be a Purolator delivery truck and is now being painted and designed internally for our use.

We need a name. Got a suggestion? Send it back to me. Mine is White Lightning.

GOODY FOR GOODIES

SPICED CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS

3/4 c Ground cinnamon
1 tbsp Ground allspice
1 tbsp Ground nutmeg
2 tbsp Ground cloves
1 cup Applesauce

Mix dry ingredients together. Add applesauce and mix well. Roll on waxed paper to 1/2" thickness and sprinkle with cinnamon to keep from sticking. Cut into Christmas shapes. Let decorations air dry for 4 or 5 days, turning once a day. Ornaments can be painted or decorated when dry. Store in a plastic bag each year. When the scent evaporates, add a drop or 2 of cinnamon oil to the back. These ornaments are wonderful tree decorations or gifts.

SUMMER’S BOASTS AND BRAGS

We helped with the Sutherland School BBQs helping them raise money for a new playground. Things are coming along very nicely.

Children’s Festival went well. Weather was great.

Ride For Dad was the newest fund raiser. A little rainy but all in all a good one.

Canada Day is the biggest fund raiser and it didn’t let us down with many thanks to Mother Nature.

Police Day also went very well. We even made the news.

Cruise Day was a lot of fun. We had great weather and did well as a fund raiser.

As the sun sets on beautiful Saskatoon we lay to rest the Milk Wagon and the Food Cart. At least for this year.

Many thanks to EVERYONE that made all events successful. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Special thanks to ALL the volunteers at Sutherland School, Optimist Twirlers Connection and Jasmine and friends.

GOODY FOR GOODIES
Ham Roll-Ups

Package sliced ham luncheon meat
Creamed Cheese
Pickled Asparagus or a pickle cut in 4 lengthwise
Toothpicks

Pat dry 1 slice of ham luncheon meat and lay flat. Spread on some creamed cheese top to bottom. Place asparagus (or pickle) on creamed cheese. Roll. Poke 1 toothpick in the middle catching the edge (so it doesn’t unroll). Poke 1 toothpick ¼ inch in at each end. Last, poke a toothpick on each side of the middle one. You now have 5 rolls. To cut, use a sharp knife and slide with pressure (don’t saw or they’ll rip).
Variation: add fancy mustard (just a bit).
When I make these, it starts at 50 for 5 people. VERY GOOD!!!

I used to be indecisive.  Now I'm not sure.
